The Serbian Cultural Association “Zavicaj”, founded in January 2005 in Houston, Texas, performed at our church
The founders are Serbian settlers in Houston that come from primarily Serbian regions of former Yugoslavia.
The goal of its existence is to promote Serbian traditions, culture, songs, and dances. In charge of this is the Serbian youth living in Houston.
“Zavicaj” currently has 34 members from the ages of 6 to 22, split in two age groups.
In its program, Serbian Cultural Association “Zavicaj”, contains dances from all of the Serbian regions of former Yugoslavia, including dances from Sumadija, Pomoravlje, Banat, Vlas regions, Eastern Serbia, Vranje, Crna Gora, and Krajina.
